Your information.
Held with care.

This notice explains what personal information we collect, why we use it and the choices you have.

Last updated: 30 August 2026

Who we are

REGULATE is a trading name of Everything Starts With You Ltd (company number 14324653), registered in England and Wales. Our registered office is 59 Maplefield, Park Street, St Albans, England, AL2 2BE.

Everything Starts With You Ltd is the data controller for the personal information described in this notice. You can contact us at tia@regulatestudio.co.uk.

Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with REGULATE, we may collect:

  • your name, email address, telephone number and contact preferences;
  • booking, attendance, payment and transaction information;
  • information you include in emails, enquiries, feedback or reviews;
  • health, accessibility, safeguarding or wellbeing information you choose to provide in a booking or intake form;
  • information about a child or young person supplied by their parent or guardian;
  • your newsletter and marketing preferences; and
  • limited technical information produced when you use the website, such as IP address, browser, device and server logs.

Why we use it

We use personal information to manage bookings and payments, provide experiences safely, respond to enquiries, keep appropriate business and safeguarding records, improve our services, protect the website and send marketing only where you have chosen to receive it.

Our lawful bases may include performing a contract with you, complying with legal obligations, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting REGULATE, and your consent. Where health or other special-category information is needed to support your participation, we rely on your explicit consent unless another lawful condition applies.

Who we share it with

We only share information where it is necessary. Our service providers include Squarespace Scheduling/Acuity for bookings and intake forms, Stripe for payments, MailerLite for opted-in email communications, website hosting and technical providers, and professional advisers. Relevant information may also be shared with the facilitator delivering your booked experience, or with authorities where the law, safeguarding or protection of someone’s vital interests requires it.

These organisations handle information under their own privacy terms or as processors acting on our instructions. Some providers may process information outside the UK; where they do, we require an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism and safeguards.

How long we keep it

We keep information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose collected and to meet legal, tax, insurance, safeguarding and professional requirements. Booking, payment and client records may normally be retained for up to seven years after your last interaction; records relating to children may be kept longer where safeguarding or insurance requirements apply. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are normally deleted within two years. Marketing details are kept until you unsubscribe or we determine they are no longer current.

Marketing

We send marketing emails only where you have opted in or where the law otherwise permits. You can unsubscribe at any time by using the link in an email or contacting us. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from sending information needed for an existing booking.

Cookies and session storage

The REGULATE website does not currently use advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies. It uses temporary session storage so the welcome screen is not repeatedly shown during the same browsing session. Our hosting provider may process essential security and server-log information. If you follow a link to Acuity, Stripe, MailerLite, Instagram or another external service, that service may use cookies under its own policy.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask us for access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction, transfer, or to object to how it is used. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. These rights are not absolute and some records may need to be retained by law.

To exercise a right or ask a question, email tia@regulatestudio.co.uk. If you remain unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

We may update this notice when our services, suppliers or legal responsibilities change. The latest version will always be published on this page.
